How is AliExpress for long-term availability? I've always been=20 concerned that they're somewhat like ebay... having items available only=20 for a certain time. Do you have any experience to support the contrary? So far I've used smaller TFT LCDs with controllers/parallel interface=20 (ILI8341, ST7789, etc), but for this larger display I'll be using a=20 PIC32 so finding a supported controller or perhaps going controllerless=20 with LCC is my preferred direction. I yet have to research the differences between drive methods (parallel=20 RGB, vs. VGA, HDMI, or even SPI). I have a perception that SPI would=20 not be fast enough to show quick changes (say 20-30 frames per sec at=20 VGA resolution), but that's just a perception until I try it. For now,=20 I'm ordering a 7" SPI LCD to tinker with. Cheers, -Neil. On 11/17/2016 5:54 PM, Isaac M.
