> Echoes from the past... Yes... Many years ago I used a 16R8 (if I remember correctly) to do address decoding on an ISA bus. As I recall, the address bus was 16 bits and the 4 msb were multiplexed in for a total of 20 bits. The register captured the 4 msb while the logic combined it with the other 16 bits to generate the chip select. Fun with PALASM!
