I believe the PIC list has always consisted of a small core of=20 professional engineers and a huge collection of hobbyist users. The=20 hobbyist segment has dropped off considerably so we get far fewer basic=20 questions now. I still have a great interest in PIC 16 assembler and optimisation. I=20 personally don't see the RAM banking and code paging as an issue. I see it= =20 as an opportunity to further optimise code execution. The thing that=20 really gets me is why microchip hasn't pushed the 16 passed a 100 mips=20 yet.
