I still program in Assembly using MPLAB 8.92 as well. I've tried MPLABX of= f and on, even using the latest version on my 5k iMac, but I still find mys= elf back at the rickety WinXP PC using MPASM and MPLAB8. Microchip is now = pushing forward with HLL's like C, but Assembly is the only way I do PICs. I'm also a fellow HP Calculator lover. I'd been using my 28S regularly for= the last 26 years until recently when a couple keys developed problems. (= I have to press on the top of the key normally plus press hard against the = back of the calc for them to be usable.) That pressed me to acquire a 48GX= and a 50g, the latter of which is pretty amazing. We are now discussing F= RAM cards for the 48GX over at the HP Museum (I am JDW there). There curre= ntly is a question about the Yorke chip used, specifically with regard to V= BAT and VCC, if you want to take a look: http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-6562-post-60027.html#pid60027 Sincerely, James Wages Tue, 23 Aug 2016 12:33:18 +1000, Anthony Nixon : I still program in assembler using MPLAB 8.92.
