Hi Harold, Yes, SVN can be a pain if you get out of sync with the repository, but it's= doing its job. If its more than one guy, he modified his local (stale file) and tried to c= heck it in. If its you, you did not pull down the latest before you changed it, and tri= ed to check it in. If you always pull, change, push, you will never have any problems. Some PCB CAD and IDE's write other stuff in the design directories than the= design file, and you are not seeing those changes, and getting out of sync= .. Zip the whole tree, on checkin, unzip and replace the whole tree on checko= ut. If I follow these rules, I never get out of sync. We have Tortoise SVN (a Windows front end to SVN), and I'm always fighting with it. It refuses commits due to some invalid date code in some unknown location. I've got a mix of green and red checkmarks in my directory tree and don't trust it to really keep track of my changes.
