The linked bulb is a Metal Halide HID (High Intensity Discharge), not a typ=
ical =93Halogen=94 lamp (which is a variety of filament lamp.)  The HID lam=
ps are akin to mercury and sodium streetlamps, and do have a significantly =
high efficiency compared to filament lamps.  (Downside: relative complex ba=
llast circuitry)
