Indeed things have improved since the=20 Microchip takeover, pre-takeover I couldn't find any documentation=20 online on talking to the LAN951x (the datasheet only covered the=20 electrical side of things) now I can easilly find the databook that=20 covers software development on Microchip's website. Microchip seem to have been on a bit of an aquisition spree over the=20 past few years, SMSC (makers of Ethernet controllers and tiny ethernet=20 switches) , micrel (makers of more Ethernet products), ISSC (apparently=20 makers of bluetooth stuff for IOT) supertex (something to do with=20 "medical lighting and industrial") eqcologic ("equaliser and coax=20 transciver products"). --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
