I keep thinking I should throw up some small solar panels for things like w= alkway lights; you know: better than the skimpy =93solar garden lights=94, = but far from a full-efficiency large-scale installation. 3W panels, perhap= s=85 But I have trees, and such. Surely someone has designed and published (or sells) a gadget that I can si= t in a proposed panel location, that will do some data logging and tell me = just how much sun I actually am likely to get at that spot? (PIC, Solar cel= l, some sort of standard load, and some logging SW?) Extra credit if I can= plug in the actual solar panel I want to use and measure its output in WH/= day.
