Years ago, I remember reading an article someone had written about using a sheet of zebra strip material as a breadboard alternative. I suspect a little searching would find the original article, but I recall coming away from reading that with a couple relevant conclusions: 1. Hard to find 2. Expensive 3. "Kind of" worked for digital logic 4. About useless for analog or anything over a couple mA. 5. Surprisingly high resistance per length. (Fuzzy memory says on the order of 100k per inch) Of course, none of those are surprising when you consider how zebra strip is typically used.
