The old "1% trickle or 10% trickle is OK" no longer applies. Keep batteries as cool as possible. 40 C is on the high side if lower is possible. Cutoff voltage needs to be accurate or low. Vmax varies with charge rate. Erring on the low side reduces capacity but increases lifetime. Set too high and the cells will charge forever.
