I'm building some boards for a customer and was planning to conformal=20
coat it to protect it (automotive environment), but he wants me to pot=20
it.  I'm not thrilled about that because this project has had a lot of=20
incremental changes over the past couple years, and if I have to make=20
any other electronic changes it would be difficult.  And these are=20
relatively expensive circuits.  Before I cave, is there anything I can=20
reliably remove potting compound with?  Research so far indicates that=20
heat works, but is still a tedious process.  Are there any known=20
chemicals that would work for this?  Or any specific types of potting=20
compounds that would be easier to remove?
