'Even if the power is not down, when it gets disconnected it will think=20 the power went down and will turn on, making the two exposed prongs live and easily touchable by a kid.' They say it has its own ELCB built into it. I suppose they could have=20 some wiz bang electronics that sense maybe impedance load, or perhaps=20 they just have an opto that is 'closed' when masked by a wall socket and=20 'open' when light falls on it when removed and thus switches off the=20 output. '3) What if somebody is using a 6800W electric shower when power gets down? Will their equipment supply all that power, together with power for the fridge, etc? ' They say that maximum load is 15A. In the UK an electric shower must be=20 on its own circuit with its own 45A breaker. Can't speak for Australia,=20 as European electric showers cause much head scratching by electricians here, apart from which many houses only have an 80A=20 maximum connection to the grid single phase.
