Olin has had an issue with Google and others reporting things like that. I have talked to him and he says that some of his executable packages (that h= e gives away for free) generate false positives in some virus checkers. While I can't absolutely guarantee the safety of his site, I am pretty sure there is no real issue. For what it is worth, I am currently working for Olin on = a contract basis and am repeatedly downloading software from his site without issue. I will send him a message about the site and see what he has to say. ~ Bob Ammerman RAm Systems > -----Original Message----- > From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf > Of Jaco du Plooy > Sent: Thursday, January 21, 2016 2:13 AM > To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. > Subject: [PIC] CHIPKIT PGM PROGRAMMER/DEBUGGER >=20 > I wanted to have a look at what Olin Lathrop has available. > Is his company www.embedinc.com ? > When I link to their website I get the google chrome warning "Google Safe > Browsing recently found harmful programs on www.embedinc.com." etc. >=20 >=20 >=20 > On 21/01/2016 00:44, Bob Ammerman wrote: > > Olin doesn't offer anything with MPLAB<,x> integration.
