Good day to all. I'm currently working on two projects that both need a small LiPo cell. The cell that I want to use is used in the Canon MB-5L battery=20 pack. The stated capacity from Canon is 1120 mAHr, which is right in=20 the ballpark of what I need. I'm *very* constrained for space. It turns out that the cell inside=20 this particular Canon battery pack is pretty much perfect in every respect. I'm hoping that someone can tell me where I can purchase these=20 cells. I greatly prefer to source cells that are manufactured in=20 Japan, as opposed to China. The research that I've done so far makes it clear that many (most) of=20 the Canon NB-5L battery packs sourced from China are counterfeit and=20 have crappy cells. Various sites have said that the cells can be as=20 small as 540 mAHr. I've purchased some of those knock-off batteries and the cell=20 contained in the ones that I received look to be about 750=20 mAHr. That doesn't provide enough run time for my product. These devices are going to be completely sealed against moisture and=20 it's expensive to break apart the case just to replace a defective cell. The size of the Canon cell is 45.6mm x 25mm x 5.5mm Does anyone have a suggestion of where I might look to find these cells? Many thanks! dwayne --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA 780-489-3199 voice 780-487-6397 fax 888-489-3199 Toll Free www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
