Thanks everyone for some great suggestions to explore. I was expecting=20 there would be a "stock" solution to this particular problem other than=20 the deadband idea which seems popular. The issue with perception of=20 light levels is really mostly on the low end of the brightness scale .=20 The worst being when the light is either barely on or completely off. I=20 am using LEDs so no forgiveness as in an incandescent bulb.
