Yes, Qt is good.  I've maintained Qt code on occasion, though only on
Linux, and it will be straightforward to regain the skills if and when
they will be needed.

(Meanwhile I've been spending most of my recent time on Gtk+, which I
can't recommend for cross-platform.)
