Don't overlook that you can use Python with it looking like what you are=20 already accustomed to. If you stick to the basics it will go quickly. Getting involved with an=20 editor other than idle will add a little time in start u, but hopefully=20 will make things easier in the long run. Python code runs on all flavors of Linux as well. Zero investment, take you pick of tutorials on Youtube. I like Kriss for=20 about everything he does. I find his style accommodates my needs. At the young age of 75, I find my memory of Turbo3 is better than what I=20 read yesterday, so I spend a lot of time referring back to the videos. I think you will find that most of today's machines will pretty fast and=20 the hardware resources greater than you need. BTW, I am only a hobby user these days.
