Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for a PC software development platform. =20 My intention is to build standalone UI-based apps that would connect to=20 my embedded projects via serial/USB, mostly so I can have others=20 (customers) change settings, view details, etc during development. Priorities are simplicity (ie: easy to learn and use), and generates=20 relatively non-bloated code. I don't mind investing time in learning=20 some tool, as long as it's documented properly (ie: comes with its own=20 tutorials, so I don't have to chase down tutorials/examples around the=20 internet). I don't mind paying for it within reason (say within a=20 couple hundred dollars for now). I'm fluent with C, and Pascal/Basic is=20 fine also. If it's cross-platform that would be a plus. So far, I'm looking at Processing, Xojo and Visual Basic. I hear that I=20 can compile Python, but it seems that the libraries, etc are strewn all=20 over the place. Any other recommendations?
