I my be mistaken, but it seems that the new PIC32MZ EF devices have real MMU. That means it could support full-blown Linux and virtual memory! If that is correct, it's great news. The errata list has "just" ten items. Unfortunately two of them are: 2. "A crystal oscillator cannot be used as an input to the Primary Oscillator (OSC1/OSC2 pins)." 4. "The Secondary Oscillator (SOSC) does not support crystal operation." The PIC32MZ EC also have a lot of errata. The most annoying ones are related to the primary oscillator and the A/D converter, which seems to be utterly broken.
