The= family had emigrated from the UK, husband had come out to NZ some weeks be= fore to find job and accommodation, wife was following with three kids in t= ow later. Gets to LA, and in queue in booking hall to board flight to NZ when an alar= m clock goes off in their luggage. Her description of how this large bookin= g hall crowded with people suddenly became empty, with her, a pile of lugga= ge, one child of late primary school age, another nearly school age and a b= abe in arms, in the middle of an enormous empty space with a security guard= wandering over, hand on gun on hip, wanting them to 'come this way' had to= be heard.
