Couple of choices that I can think of 1. Eagle free version, but your limited on the number of colors, but the U= I is easy and you can make a library of symbols if this is more than a one-= off 2. Draftsight - a free 2D Autocad like program provided by the company that= makes Solidworks. You have to register, but its not a big deal (at least = for me). -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of= Neil Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2015 1:07 PM To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. Subject: [OT] Wiring diagram software? Anyone have a recommendation for a simple, decent wiring-diagramming softwa= re package? I'm looking for something that will let me draw rectangles to = represent modules and connectors, and have *multiple* wires coming off each= of these, each with a different color, and label. Something like this (though I don't need the switch/coil symbols inside the= rectangles)... http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/91-93_5.0_EEC_Wiring_D= iagram.gif Typical Visio (at least from what I remember from the last time I used it s= ome years ago) will only do a few wires per rectangle, and Eagle won't let = me do multiple colors etc. Plus I'd prefer it to be simple, because I want= to create a system interconnection diagram which I can then send to a cust= omer and he can add some other parts of the system. Paid software is fine as long as it's not several hundreds of dollars, and = no online software please.
