(I did my Eagle Scout project two years ago teaching robotics to High/Middle Schoolers) Digikey has a section for incandescent and neon bulbs. 1.4V rated 5mm Incandescent Bulb. $0.46 each at quantity of 25. (If possible have extras for when the loose them or break the leads) Digikey part 289-1230-ND ( http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/1728/289-1230-ND/1552785 ) Bonus: Same form factor as standard 5mm LEDs. I'd think you can safely use these with standard 1.5V cells. Con: still costs $11 bucks for 25 bulbs plus ~$5 shipping (US) On Fri, Sep 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM, Denny Esterline wro= te: > So, I have opportunity to reach about two dozen cub scouts about 6-9 year= s > old.
