Marino, I'm pretty much a through hole person. I try to avoid surface mount=20 devices if at all possible. I have it sorted out and I won't be making=20 that mistake again on this board. I only damaged one cap. Everything=20 that you have suggested I will keep in mind for future projects. I=20 finally have all of the mechanical and electrical problems solved.
