Hi All, I finally decided to fit a solar panel on top of my van to keep the deep cycle battery topped up, but looking at the solar panel controllers I have a bit of a question... Take this one, not necessarily what i am getting, but it will be something similar: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=3Ditem.view&id=3D351456246408&alt=3Dweb It has three connections, the solar panel and the battery ones are self explanatory, but the load connection has me puzzled. At the moment I have a dual sensing charging relay so that the vehicle battery is isolated from the deep cycle battery when not being charged via the alternator. I would like to add the solar charging to the system on the deep cycle side, but i don't' really want to change the other circuit I already have. I run a 1800W inverter, lights, and two pumps on the back. When they mark the terminals as load what do they actually mean, is this a dump load for when the batteries can not take any more charge or do you have to connect the actual loads via these terminals? I am pretty sure it is for connecting a dump load but the Chinese/English translation is not great, so looking for some confirmation.
