The lines are not gray, they are black, although very thin, almost one pixel-wide. Perhaps your reader is dithering them making them appear gray. My sight is not that good anymore and I can read it perfectly on my screen. I will check to see if I can print thicker lines. As you can see, the Gerber files are supplied, together with a PDF with every separated layer for the hobbyists who make boards with alternative processes.
