Thanks for the encouragement.  It worked.

Used a vice to hold the module at 45=B0 tilt toward me, pre-bent the
tinned wirewrap wire to catch on the pin, and applied heat.

Wish I had a microscope.  ;-)  I used a loupe and reading glasses
combined.

As I had found already, it's a strange way to sleep ... the device
resets at the end of the sleep period, with no preserved state apart
from what might have been written to flash.
