Thanks for the responses everyone. I have been out for a while so just getting back to this. I have suggested to management that we have the chips programmed by MicroChip Direct or another outfit - that idea was shot down. We want to keep our people busy by doing the programming in-house. Regarding the multiple programmers connected to one PC... that will not fly either for us. The solution has to be more user friendly - and just work ou= t of the box.=20 I'll check out the specific programmers mentioned in other posts. I have a run of another vendors processor, looking at about 3K of them, I was quoted .35 ea including putting them back on the reel after. Considering time is money, and I just programmed 200 of them by hand, that'= s a pretty good deal. -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of Mark Scoville Sent: Wednesday, August 12, 2015 5:36 AM To: piclist@mit.edu Subject: [PIC] Gang programmer recommendation Hi All, Looking for a gang production programmer to do 4 or more PICs at a time. Unit would mainly see 12F508 DIPs, and a few other DIP package 16F and 18F parts. Anyone have experience with some of the offerings out there?
