New to me is a heatsink made of microporous copper foam (according to the manufacturers blurb).=20 For passive uses only, they state in their datasheet that a 40 * 40 * 5mm=20 microporous heatsink has a thermal resistance of 17.4 C/W with a 5W load.=20 They have compared it to a silver heatsink, however looking at a black=20 heatsink listed at E14, the CCI11 has a thermal resistance of 9.38 to 5.14 = =20 K/W. Versarien unfortunately do not specify the testing conditions they uses. Microporous heatsink : CCI11: The microporous heatsink was last weeks product news in the Elektor=20 newsletter.
