Thanks for suggesting to look at camera=20 batteries. I must confess that I was focused on phone batteries. I have a Canon S100 (love it *very* much) and it=20 turns out to have a battery that is pretty close=20 to what I need: this is a Canon NB-5L single-cell=20 battery that measures 44mm x 31mm x 7.0mm. The=20 one I have in my hand right not is an=20 after-market battery (not original) that has a stated capacity of 1400 mAH. It's almost perfect: I'd prefer something 1 or=20 2mm thinner and closer to 25mm wide if possible. The constraints that I'm facing are: Length=20 should NOT exceed 46mm, thickness should not=20 exceed 5.5mm. I do have a bit of wiggle room on=20 the width: 25mm is optimum but I can go less than or more than that if need= ed. Question: is there somewhere I can go that lists=20 the dimensions of various batteries for devices? Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. And=20 please: if anyone has any other ideas, I'd very much like to hear them. dwayne At 08:14 PM 8/5/2015, RussellMc wrote: >Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64=E2=80=8B >On 6 August 2015 at 11:00, Dwayne Reid wrote: > > > Good day to all. >I=DBH=DB=DC=9A=DA[=99=C8=DB=88Hnew version of a previous project and am lo= oking for >Hsource of LiPo batteries. >H]=99H[Z]Y=DCX=D9H=D9=88 > >K=8D=9B@m x 25mm x 5.5mm and am hoping that > > someone can suggest a commercially-available packaged battery > > >I measured batteries for 2 different XACTI cameras that I have here - >neither was quite small enough in either dimension, but they are close. > >If you look at various compact camera batteries I imagine one will come >close to what you want - they seem to be more interested in 'small' than >'useful' alas. > >Using std ruler - to hand. > >39 x 35 x <6 DB-L20 720 mAh ><39 x 31 x <6 DB-L80 700 mAh > >After market versions usually have higher mAh markings and quite possibly >smaller actual ratings. --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
