I just had to vent a bit and I think I would find kindred souls here. While searching for something related to MOSFETs, I came across the following patent: https://www.google.com/patents/US4454454 Apparently Motorola was granted a patent in 1984 on using MOSFETs in an H-bridge to drive a motor. This is ridiculous but what surprises me is that I have not heard about this before. This seems to imply that, until 2004, Motorola could have sued anyone who used MOSFETs to drive a motor in an H-bridge configuration without paying Motorola a license fee. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
