Hi James, It's not a GSM phone, so it has no sim card. I know I can reduce the power consumption to 2 or 3 times less than it's=20 present state by rooting the phone and taking out all the crap that=20 downloads ads and things like that. So, I can increase the battery life.=20 But, still the batteries wear out after sitting charged in the phone for=20 very long. My battery is forever warm to the touch whenever it's plugged into the=20 charger. Even if it's powered down for 3 hours, the battery is still=20 warm to the touch. I wonder if I can build a charger that stops charging at 50 percent,=20 then starts charging at 40 percent. I've tried the stock droid charger and an inexpensive universal charger,=20 both seem to destroy the battery if the charger is left connected.
