I saw a photo in the last few months of a car tyre with very similar 'all
around the side wall' damage.
Memory suggests that it was extremely similar.

Where I saw it I know not (may come back). More likely (agh) Facebook than
not.

I suggested that it appeared to be from 'enemy action' and others were
asserting it's likely being due to happenstance. I think being driven flat
was one suggestion - whether based on any knowledge I know not.
