Resend with tag... Since it's fairly common to run AES3 on CAT5 cable and use RJ45 connectors, the next step is to consider the use of Ethernet magnetics for AES3. Both are 110 ohm balanced, so we look ok there. Ethernet certainly uses higher frequencies than AES3, so we're ok there. But, the transformers may not have the required low frequency response and may suffer core saturation with the 10Vpp AES3 signal. So, has anyone done this? Are there any published notes on this?
