What is the best polarization for a GPS antenna (or module) like one in the

Should the flat side with large surface area be pointed to sky or can it be
mounted vertically?

Take an example of image #2 where the mounted headers are right angled and
if the headers directly go into breadboard, mounting the whole module
vertically.

Which antenna position will acquire more satellites?
