Hi all, I've been asked to re-design a product. One of the current front panel components is a large (much larger than necessary) switch, like this one http://comingsoon.radioshack.com/dpdt-20-amp-momentary-flip-switch/2750709.= html#.VWWFH1J6X1I The customer has asked that I find a smaller PCB-mount version. For various reasons it's a good idea I've looked around Mouser and Digikey, and found some switch manufacturers. TE, Grayhill and Carling for example Each of them offers combinations of switch configurations, such as being able to specify xPyT, actuator, bushing, contact rating etc. Unfortunately this doesn't mean you can get what you want. In this pdf there's almost the exact thing, A105MD9AB04, only it's single-pole. The A205MD9AB04 (DPDT) would be exact http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/418/ENG_DS_2-1773458-5_GEMINI_SERIES_SWITCHES_QR= G_0411-205022.pdf TE have got back to me and said that the A205 is not made Grayhill and Carling have yet to reply about their possibilities, it's been a few days. On the strength of TE's reply, I'm quite expecting to strike out again So, if you want an idea of what it looks like, it would be the DPDT version of the leftmost switch at the top of Page 1 http://www.grayhill.com/assets/1/7/Toggle_34A.pdf That is, a PCB-mount right-angle DPDT (On)-Off-(On), plain bush, > 2A @ 12VDC. It'll be the DPDT in the M7 panel (On)-Off-(On) is momentary in both up and down positions, with centre off Does anyone know of such a switch ? It's going to be a real pain if I can't find any, as all the other switches needed are available in a similar style. And simulating the (On)-Off-(On) function is going to mean a total re-design of h/w and s/w TIA Joe=20 ----- No virus found in this message.
