e for, embedded devices?  So the firmware is actually tested against those =
more so than an OS.

Hmm.  Thanks.  That there is, in theory, no such physical thing as the "are=
a of the original file" makes this difficult to swallow.

My guess is that the firmware on the card has a bug.

The firmware is rarely tested with embedded systems, instead more commonly =
tested with operating systems.
