James...aren't camera's and cell phones, where the SD cards are targeted us= e for, embedded devices? So the firmware is actually tested against those = more so than an OS. -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu [mailto:piclist-bounces@mit.edu] On Behalf Of= James Cameron Sent: Friday, May 15, 2015 9:48 PM To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. That there is, in theory, no such physical thing as the "are= a of the original file" makes this difficult to swallow. My guess is that the firmware on the card has a bug. The firmware is rarely tested with embedded systems, instead more commonly = tested with operating systems. -- James Cameron http://quozl.linux.org.au/ -- http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/chang= e your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclis= t ________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: The information contained in this electronic mail message is i= ntended only for the use of the designated recipient(s) named above.
