FWIW, I left the project running uninterrupted over in the corner. The file read count has just gone through the 4,000,000 mark and the data is perfectly OK. I wouldn't know whether the file has had any read disturb work done on it by the card controller So, as dodgy as the card appeared initially, it does seem to be alright. If the file happens to be in the right place on it :-)) A copy of the project has been running for a couple of weeks and its file read count is 1.3m. Also no problems. A third one is reading from a RAM buffer, updated daily from its card I'm confident then that the project will run for a very long time, other failures notwithstanding Joe ----- No virus found in this message.
