Hi all. I want to work on something that I have put on hold for a while. We recently moved to a two story level house where we are having installed a couple of centralized air conditioning units (one per story). In the upper level the unit is already installed with duct work but without grills for each climatized zone. I haven't gotten the grills installed because I want to motorized them with some Futaba S3003 servos I have available. These servos will be controlled by a central unit for temperature regulation in each area, receiving feedback from some internet of things thermostats in each area. I can run wiring from the central unit to each servo in each grill (there will be 4 areas initially, more areas downstairs later) and I am planning to use an old laptop (laying around without use) as the central unit. I would like to use an USB servo controller for the Futabas but I don't want to reinvent the wheel so I would love to know if any of you guys have used or have a prefered device for this kind of work. I might have other questions regarding the Internet of things part but that will come later :) Thanks in advance for your help and time.
