Most of my interest has been from a church or Lions Club point of view.=20 This organization is helpful to determine if a given organization meets=20 your criteria. A while back I sent a personal donation via paypal to an=20 organization in Armenia raising funds for music instruments for=20 children. They turned out legit and I have a soft spot for kids and=20 music. I would have done the same for Turkish kids. Churches have to fight politics all the way. Sometimes you have to=20 accept that you are feeding the soldiers along with the kids. The Lions Club is the largest world-wide Charity and we usually already=20 have people in country to help get us up to speed quickly. There is=20 probably a problem with graft some where, but in my 20 years serving=20 with them I have not seen any corruption. Our local club has been=20 targeted by the IRS a couple of years, but each year we finish up with=20 less than $1000 in the Treasury and a long list of those served. I don't consider this Politics, it is simply the right thing to do. Most=20 disasters get overwhelmed with aid by this time and it does not seem to=20 be happening in Nepal! If you have a direct contact with a business in Nepal you may be able to=20 work through him. It is not difficult to help someone who has lost=20 everything including their families.
