I am in the industrial automation field for the past 15 years. And it is safe to say no SSRs can replace Relay. Relays sucks and the contact contacts will get stuck if subjected to long switching cycle or subjected to excessive capacitive/inductive load. It is one of the top complaints that team is deal with... However, relay is easy to use and very reliable for most of the applications. So customers are continuing to ask for relays (no SSRs) and we will need to continue battling with relay stuck issue. --=20 Xiaofan --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
