My lurkage on piclist goes back to the days of Olin. After all of these
years it's now become necessary for me to make my first post. :)

Microchip published Application Note 1298A, which talks about
"Capacitive Touch Using Only an ADC ("CVD"). [1] It's hard for me to
believe, but it appears that no one ever talked about using AN1298 with
a capacitive keypad on piclist.

There's threads about mechanical keypads on piclist. But apparently
little, if any, capacitive keypad "old school ADC" threads. =20

If anyone knows different, please correct me. Allow me to note for
posterity that the Microchip forum contains at least one pertinent
thread. [2]=20
