I've been busy writing my applications to write to a small RAM > disk I won't re-hash my experiences with SD cards, but would say I think I trust RAM more than Flash, especially when it comes to write cycles. And especiallyer after reading about the increasing risk with decreasing cell size, as the SD market moves towards larger capacity cards. It's tempting, I know, to see all those GB of space and just go for it, but it's an awful lot of data to lose. I don't particularly like very big HDD either, for the same reason. For a temporary logging system I'd use SRAM with a back-up battery. 512k x 8 is only a few dollars Joe ----- No virus found in this message.
