I would be interested to know if you could somehow get a PC to access the c= ard in a similar manner to how you have been testing it with the PIC, to se= e if it falls over, or does some other form of recovery action to re-read t= he file (how you would detect this I don't know). I am wondering if there is an error in the FTL SPI code that hasn't been pr= operly debugged, but the 4 bit parallel mode works fine. Oh for a way to learn about the 4 bit mode without having to join the SD Ca= rd organisation ... Alan P.S. has anyone thought about if the 4 bit mode that is announced as a feat= ure of the newer PIC32 devices is designed to interface SD cards? It was my= immediate thought when I saw it in the data sheet, but don't know if there= is any working silicon yet. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
