I somehow missed this thread (no sign of the messages from Tamas or=20 Joshua in my PICList folder, curiously) but I have studied bitcoin=20 extensively (a nice way to say "went down the bitcoin rabbithole") last=20 year and I accept it as payment and have used it to buy a few things at=20 overstock.com, both business and personal. I use coinbase.com as my wallet and payment RX. I have only gotten one bitcoin payment thus far ... for approx $350 from=20 finland. It was great! I can't tell you how many times over the last 5=20 years I've wanted an alternative to bank wire transfer fees and delays=20 and paypal's 4.1% (yes, 4.1%) fee for sales where a currency conversion=20 is necessary. Paypal also sometimes refuses perfectly valid corporate=20 credit cards in foreign countries as well, creating yet more hassle.=20 Some of my sales are in the low thousand $ and all this is a major=20 nuisance and cost. For that single payment from finland, I sold it immediately to insulate=20 my business from currency fluctuation losses. Coinbase has a mechanism=20 to do this automatically and payout in USD daily, I believe, but I don't=20 have all that set up. Not necessary for now. A big fan ... we shall see how it all unfolds.
