Yes, Rayovac was involved, they marketed them under the name "Renewal",=20
I think the actual manufacturer was a different company . They were=20
popular for a while in the 1990's because they worked in many consumer=20
electronic devices that couldn't tolerate the lower voltage from NiCADs=20
(SMPS technology was not inexpensive yet).
