Vasile, I think the reason for the need of more power is to use these devices mainly other than as phones. I use my iPhone 90% for browsing the internet, e-mail, social media or other means to interact with my friends, and perhaps the best as voice/video over IP (which is somewhat similar to traditional phone, but it is free, however requires specific apps and more computations from the device). And of course many people use them for entertainment and games :-) These days a phone can play near the same quality of games as you see on consoles and even PCs.
