Joe - When the war came along a lot of Model T's that folks had been nursing along for years got parked - If you were driving a Lizzie in 1942 you were pretty much by definition not important enough to rate tires and gas coupons... By the time the post-war recovery percolated down to the MT folks they'd been siiting for a decade or more. When I was a kid if you saw one sitting on blocks in someone's yard there was a good chance they'd give it to you if asked nicely. My grandfather's MT went into his garage in 1942, not to emerge until his oldest son rehabilatated it circa 1965 - He drove it until his passing, about a decade ago...
