How brightly is the question. Can you give more details. NB: What colour. What application? Indicator? Illumination? Other ... A favourite white LED of mine is the Nichia "Raijin". NSPWR70CSS-K1. Through hole 4 pin "Piranha" pkg - which may not suit. 165 lumen/Watt at 30 MA. Probably 18 l/W+ at 200 uA. _______ I just tried one at ~ 170 uA. Easily visible as an indicator in a bright room. Very visible in darkness. 2.5V VF at 170 u (measured) At 170 l/w say output =3D 2.5 x 170E-6 =3D 72 milli-lumen. Shine that on say a 10mm x 10mm square (eg a large indicator) and light level =3D 0.072/(0.01^2) =3D 700 lux =3D brighter than a bright white LCD screen. In practice it looked dimmer than that - but still useful.
