There are also the 'tennis racket' style HV electronic fly swatters
which have a little potted inverter to make several 1000 V from
a 1.5V battery

For that matter, the flash unit in a disposable camera outputs
250 - 300V

Voltage doesn't seem to be an issue, getting wattage from a small
device might be. Perhaps a ferrite toroid, as found in SMPS
