Who knows what MS will do with it, but surely they have to make a reasonable job of it as there is only one target platform and no excuses that yours is below their spec. They do at least seem to get every other OS right (8.1 doesn't count as a new version), so there has to be hope. Of course this isn't something completely new either, as Windows RT and Windows Phone already supports ARMv7 devices, and seem to get fairly positive reviews. RPi2 Windows 10 will almost certainly be adapted from the Windows 10 for phones which is also ARMv7 based - the transition to RPi2 shouldn't be all that painful, and updates to W10 Phone should get ported fairly quickly. So expect a mobile style OS rather than a full blown desktop version. Given this is effectively a showcase for W10 - a means of getting it into the hands of a large community - I'm quite optimistic about it being something decent.
